As the Senior Accountant / CFO at Tritel Technologies, you will own the financial engine of a business where channel economics and project delivery together generate, consume, and tie up cash. This position is commercially embedded by nature, not back-office — you need to be as fluent in a project or channel review as you are in the ledger. We expect the candidate to be proactive and bring a cash-first mindset, anticipating liquidity pinch points before they arrive. To be successful, you will have sharp working-capital instincts, sound commercial judgment, and the standing to hold financial discipline while partnering with leadership across Commercial, Channel, and Delivery.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Kenyan statutory and tax compliance and IFRS-based reporting
- Manage auditor, KRA, Bank, Distributor and vendor relationships
- Deliver month-end close, management accounts, and board-level reporting
- Manage channel finance: rebates, backend margins, vendor credit, deal-registration economics
- Own project costing, margin control, and revenue recognition
- Run both debtors and creditors with discipline
- Own rolling cashflow forecasting and working-capital across the cash-conversion cycle
- Anticipate liquidity pinch points and model the cash impact of decisions before they're committed
- Partner across Commercial, Channel, and Delivery
Must Have
- CPA(K) and/or ACCA, in good standing
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Senior finance experience, including a leadership or ownership role
- Proven mastery of cashflow and working-capital management
- Hands-on debtors and creditors management
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan statutory and tax compliance
- ERP proficiency and strong Excel financial modelling
Nice to Have
- Background in ICT, systems integration, or distribution
- Exposure to vendor/OEM channel economics
- East African markets and multi-currency experience
- Track record with deal or working-capital financing facilities
